Activity holidays using digital photography to awaken the creative person within

Learning Landscape Photography in Rural France

Graham & Belinda Berry invite you to come and stay with them at "Berty", their old stone farmhouse and adjoining cottage in the beautiful Quercy Blanc region of South West France.

Best known for his work as BAFTA winning TV cameraman on the successful Channel 4 series "Treasure Hunt", Graham will teach you how to seek out a good image and share with you the clues of good photographic techniques so that you can get great results. In the digital darkroom he will reveal ways to get the best from that image by using photo manipulation software such as Adobe Photoshop Elements.

Photographic Holiday Course

Each course is normally limited to a maximum of 6 students so that all will have individual attention.

Over the 5 or 6 day residential courses, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, to discuss what you are learning, to resolve any difficulties and share your successes.

After a stimulating day, you will return to a tranquil countryside retreat for a fun and relaxing evening. Belinda will treat you to regional and international cuisine using the best of local produce during your stay.

The local towns, villages and countryside offer a wide array of subjects... landscapes, portraits, architecture... fields and vineyards, lakes and valleys - lit by the late afternoon sunlight, or sometimes emerging from the early morning mist... local characters and produce in picturesque markets... medieval architecture....quintissential images of France.

This learning holiday will start a process that allows you to discover good images even where you weren't expecting to find them.

Moreover you will learn about how to make the best of your digital camera, discovering how to use the features that it offers and how to take control to achieve the results that you want.

Beginners will discover an exciting new hobby through this course, finding delight in uncovering brilliant images from the ordinary to the unexpected.

More experienced photographers will enjoy visiting new locations and the challenge of stretching themselves to create stronger and more evocative images.

So whether you are just starting out in digital photography or looking for new inspiration and techniques, join us on a voyage of discovering the photographer and artist within yourself and take home the skills that will be a long lasting treasure.
