This tranquil region of South West France, known as the Quercy Blanc, is renowned for its beautiful countryside - a wonderful contrast of rugged limestone 'causses' where the grapes are grown for Cahors and Coteaux de Quercy wines, and the fertile farmland in the valleys of the Lot and smaller rivers, where sunflowers, melons and fruit trees provide a bountiful harvest. This is a relatively unspoiled and under-populated region, where the medieval towns and villages sometimes seem to remain untouched by the intervening centuries. Here you can find peace and quiet, wildlife in abundance and some of the very best of French gastronomic produce. Throughout the year there are many special events and festivals combining traditional and modern with the classic French flair for presentation. Experience this tranquil and yet stimulating way of life for yourself by booking your holiday in one of these lovely holiday homes..... Each of these properties have been personally checked by us and are highly recommended. Gilles Séraphin, in his guide book says "When visiting the Quercy Blanc, the most striking impression is that of a region far from the frenzy of our times, preserved as much in the beauty of its landscapes as in the richness of its architectural heritage. If you wish to discover Quercy Blanc, take your time to really appreciate it, to imagine a past which is present at all times, at every bend in the road." |
